About the Journal
Tadulako Balia Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction and Sustainable Development is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Master’s Program in Economics, Universitas Tadulako, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The journal focuses on interdisciplinary research related to disaster risk reduction, resilience, and sustainable development, particularly from Global South perspectives.
The journal is conceptually grounded in the notions of Tadulako and Balia from the local knowledge traditions of the Kaili community, reframed as analytical metaphors. Tadulako represents adaptive leadership and risk governance in conditions of uncertainty and crisis, while Balia signifies community-based processes of socio-ecological recovery aimed at restoring balance between human and environmental systems.
